Join with our member and other community leaders to assess and address the needs of our community. We use our leadership abilities, contacts and commitment to community service to make where we live an even better place.
Here's what our members are doing locally to lead to a better community. The Clarksville club is currently preparing for our annual Dancing with the Clarksville Stars event. The 2016 event will enable our club to donate $10,000 in scholarships to non-traditional students. Some of our other projects include:
Altrusa was founded in April 1917, in Nashville, TN, for business and professional women. The organization, now open to men and women, continues to adapt its programs and projects to meet current community needs.
In 1935, Altrusa achieved an international scope and now has clubs in Mexico, Chile, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, India, Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Great Britain, Bermuda, Canada and New Zealand.
The Clarksville Club is a member of District Four, which is made up of clubs from the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee. The Clarksville club was organized on September 26, 1964
