Darwin K Eldridge
Darwin Eldridge is a native Tennessean. He is the fourth of six children born into a fourth generation farming family in Oakwood, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Murray State University where he received the Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting and the Masters of Business Administration, having studied at the American University in Paris, France. He holds an inactive Tennessee CPA license.
Darwin has been employed by the Internal Revenue Service since 1983, having started as a Revenue Agent Co-op in Hopkinsville, KY. In 2001, he became a Supervisory Internal Revenue Agent in the Small Business Self Employed business unit in Nashville, TN and currently manages technical reviewers in Technical Services. Since becoming a manager, Darwin has completed the Senior Manager Readiness Program (SMRP). He is a prolific instructor of new manager, technical, and EEO courses. He has also written new manager and EEO courses.
Darwin is involved in his church, the St Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Oakwood, Tennessee. There he serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee and Sunday School Teacher. He is active in the Lay Organization and has served on all levels of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Currently, he serves on the Executive Board of the Connectional Lay Organization of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Darwin has been active in his local community through involvement in Leadership Clarksville, YMCA, United Way, Red Cross, and the Customs House Museum, just to name a few.
Darwin has been recognized nationally for his oratorical skills and motivates his audiences through his message of hope and personal challenge.
